چکیده
Arsenic (As) and cadmium (Cd) are listed as heavy metals that have contaminated the environment, especially water supplies. Therefore, goal of this study was to remove metals, particularly As Cd metal ions, from aqueous solutions by utilizing natural waste adsorbents at same time, help in reduction products. This designed use low-cost more widely available material such coconut husk banana peel ions an solution. The adsorption method utilized reduce their concentrations solution were then determined Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS). Various parameters types (banana husk), adsorbent dosages (0.1-0.3g), contact time (30-70 minutes), temperature (25-45°C) used carry out removal process. FTIR analysis revealed certain likely bind these due presence important functional groups hydroxyl (-OH) carbonyl (C=O). From study, optimum conditions 0.1 g dose along with 70 minutes a reaction 25°C. results removed 0.948 mg/L 0.148 solution, suggesting it efficient removing than husk. Meanwhile, higher affinity (93.9% 99.9% removal) (8.3% 22.2% adsorb onto active sites be In conclusion, technique using can applied solutions. metals’ concentration also preserve quality sources under permissible limit set WHO.

Removal of Phosphate Ions from Aqueous Solution Using Anthracite
Anthracite was used as an adsorbent to remove excess phosphate from wastewater. Anthracite used in the present study is environmentally friendly and of cost effective. The adsorption study was carried out using different particle size of adsorbents, different concentration of phosphate solution ranging from 25.0 mg/L to 100.0 mg/L, different pH values ranging from 0.5 to 11.5 along with differe...
متن کاملRemoval of Lead Ions from Aqueous Solution by Sorptive-Flotation Using Limestone and Oleic Acid
A simple, rapid and economic procedure was presented to remove lead(II) from aqueous solution under the optimized conditions. It is based on the sorption of Pb2+ ions from aqueous solutions onto limestone fines (LS), which is an inexpensive and widespread over the globe, followed by flotation with oleic acid (HOL) surfactant. The different parameters (namely: solution pH, sorbent...
متن کاملIons from Aqueous Solutions by Biosorption Processes
Due to the disadvantages of heavy metal removal from aqueous sytems by conventional methods, alternative new methods have been investigated lately. Biosorption is one of these new methods. In this method, metal ions are transported into cell structure, and removal is ensured by several mechanisms that occured between living or non-living microorganisms and metal ions. The metal removal, the use...
